As often as possible we may share with you
changes in our privacy policies to help you understand how we operate,
and what we do with the information that you share with us. Thank you for finding time to read this.
The information we collect from you
Wevec collects only the information that it
needs for the platform's features, performance monitoring and accounts management
at this stage of Our Company. As we grow, we might need a little more information
to improve, implement new features and manage your accounts better than we do
now and for that matter we'll always inform you when our requirements change.
What we collect includes:
1. Email Address
Your email address is the primary identifier of you and the account you created with it.
We do not hold your password and therefore we can't even sign in to your account.
By default your email does not show on your profile until you change its visibility
settings through the Wevec App from the Profile Menu options on your profile home.
2. Full Name
We believe you mean no harm to us or others on the Wevec platform and also as part of
the platform's requirements, we collect your full name compulsorily.
3. Username (Social Id)
Your Wevec social id is the secondary identifier of you and the account you created with it.
4. Photos (optional)
Both profile and profile cover photos are optional but we recommend our users to set these
fields for a better Wevec Experience. Photos must comply with our
Wevec Rules or Wevec Community Guidelines.
5. Status (optional)
Status is a short description of you, account's purpose or other related description
in the context of your profile. You can always change the status settings in the
Wevec App from the Profile Menu options on your home page.
6. Location (optional)
Account's location is required for a more localized Wevec Experience but without
it we may continue to suggest contents under topics based on what we think you
might be interested in aside the contents from the topics that you follow of people.
You can always change the location settings in the Wevec App from the Profile Menu
options on your home page.
7. Number (optional)
You may choose to add your phone's number to your account which by default shows
on your profile until you change its visibility settings through the Wevec App
from the Profile Menu options on your home page.
8. Device info
In order to keep your account safe we keep information such as (id, manufacturer etc.)
of devices that you have signed in with. This information helps us in many ways such as monitoring the following.
1. Devices change patterns which may inform us about suspicious behaviors on your account to act accordingly.
2. Platform performance on various devices among others.
Wevec operates differently from other social platforms because of the nature of
Our Mission.
For example, for you to acquire a
Follower you may have to publish at least one
heritage under a specific
topic
of your choice for people to now follow this
topic of you.
2. The heritages
you publish on Wevec will be shown to people who are actively
following you on the specific topic
under which you published them and may be suggested to others who are not
yet following you on that topic.
For example, if you have 1000 people following you on Fashion only and 2000 people
following you on Sports only, publishing a new
heritage under Fashion will be shown to only your Fashion Followers.
Your Sports Followers may still see this new
heritage if they navigate to your profile themselves.
3. Wevec also lets you publish Moment, a kind of
heritage that are visible to people for
only 24hrs from the time it was published and then becomes invisible, after which
you can re-publish to your Moments,
Make Moment Permanent or
Delete Your Moment.
Now on Wevec, all Moments
are visible to everyone on the platform but this behavior
is temporary and will be replaced in the near future.
Your Messages with others on Wevec
Wevec lets you make friends through people's profiles or through
our suggested friends pages. By default any accepted friendship can send you messages
and vice versa. We do not hold your Messages or keep copies but only the metadata
of the most recent message to restore the participants in a conversation you have
been in incase you change your device.
